3AW reporter on why it’s important Melbourne gets the first race of the F1

With the main event of the Grand Prix just hours away from starting, an important point has been made about Melbourne hosting the first race of the season.

3AW reporter Eddie Summerfield told Sunday Mornings he hasn’t seen the media centre “so full before”.

“I was speaking with a couple of foreign press yesterday, and they were saying the only reason they’re here is because it’s the first race of the season,” he said.
