3AW callers flood talkback line with finals ticket horror stories

Tickets for the much-anticipated Elimination Final between Hawthorn and Western Bulldogs went on sale on Wednesday, but many callers reported to 3AW Drive they had difficulty navigating the Ticketek website and app to secure a prized seat.

Members of both clubs were given early access, before general public tickets came on sale at 3pm.

Caller Hans told Jacqui Felgate while he finally was able secure tickets, the process was far from ideal.

“I spent an hour and a half on the stupid app,” he said on 3AW Drive.

“It kept kicking me out and timing out.”

The AFL later announced that the all tickets have been sold, with over 90,000 expected to pack the MCG for the clash on September 6.
