3AW caller details ‘unbelievable’ house landslide on the Mornington Peninsula

A caller to 3AW Mornings has detailed the dramatic scenes down at McCrae on the Mornington Peninsula, where a house has slid down a steep hill.

Caller Kim said it’s “unbelievable” what has happened this morning, with the landslide occurring on Penny Lane and has impacted properties on Point Nepean Road.

“If there’s a person in there, it would be horrendous,” she told Heidi Murphy.

A major emergency situation is currently underway, with one person taken to hospital, and is believed to be in a stable condition.

Point Nepean Road is currently closed in both directions between Latrobe Parade and Coburn Avenue.
