160 drivers nabbed for using Ring Road emergency lane
160 drivers have been pinged in one afternoon for driving in the emergency lane on the Western Ring Road.
Brimbank Highway Patrol and Keilor Downs Uniform officers were kept busy yesterday after receiving a complaint about drivers using in the emergency lane on the Ring Road at St Albans.
Officers detected 160 drivers using the emergency lane between 3.30pm and 6pm.
Each driver received a fine of $317 and three demerit points.
Police also issued another 18 penalty notices for drivers using mobile phones, being unlicensed and drink driving.
