Stay tuned: Nick Xenophon, who’s probably not Greek (but who knows), expects more dual citizens
It’s the sort of question a lot of politicians are being asked a lot, these days.
Neil Mitchell: So are you Greek or what?
Nick Xenophon: Well, my mother’s Greek, my father’s Cypriot, and I was born in Adelaide. I’ve never had Greek citizenship nor Cypriot citizenship, and never sought it…
He was much more certain on the next question.
Neil Mitchell: “Do you think there’ll be more (dual citizenships) to come out?”
Mr Xenophon: “Of course there’ll be more. It’ll just keep going on. It’s just embarrassing. This will continue to be a festering farce.”
