Man chased down and stabbed to death at Caroline Springs

A trail of blood has led to the discovery of a body at Caroline Springs.

A passer-by made the gruesome find just before 10pm on Sunday, the man was found lying on Caravel Lane with a stab wound.

The victim has been identified as a 36-year-old man from Caroline Springs.

Police and SES crews will conduct a line search of the area.

Channel Nine reporter, Carrie-Anne Greenbank, has told Neil Mitchell there have been issues on the lake before.

“Just last week residents say a gang of young people bashed up a boy in the same spot,” said Carrie-Anne.

“All of those things will be taken into consideration.”
