Huge car fire halts traffic on Western Ring Road

A car has caught fire on the Western Ring Road creating traffic chaos.

Emergency crews were alerted to the incident around 4pm.

VicRoads say traffic is heavy on approach, one lane is open at the Edgars Rd exit.

Motorists are advised to seek an alternative route.
