Body found in Werribee Gorge

Police have found a body at Werribee Gorge State Park.

It’s believed to be missing man Yiwei Chu.

A passerby alerted police after seeing the body of a man near Ironbark Road at about 6pm on Thursday.

It was retrieved on Friday afternoon.

The body, which is yet to be formally identified, is believed to be that of missing Mount Waverley man Yiwei Chu.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
