Matthew Hayden is staying positive despite Australia’s failures in the first Test against India.

Australia is all but certain to lose the opening Test in the series, having been comprehensively outplayed for most of the match at Perth Stadium.

Speaking on Wide World of Sports, Hayden says there’s plenty of time for the Aussies to bounce back in the remaining four matches.

“There’s lots of optismtic things we can look at and take from (the first Test), he said on 3AW.

“I don’t want to be pessimstic at this time of (the seires) because we have four Tests to go and if they’re as good as this one, they’ll be worth watching.”
