$10,000 reward for safe return of stolen 104-year-old weather vane

A $10,000 reward is on offer for the safe return of a historic weather vane.

The 104-year-old weather vane was taken from the top of the Mission to Seafarers building in the Docklands in March.

One generous patron is putting up the reward.

CEO of Mission to Seafarers, Philip Cornish, is desperate for the weather vane to be returned.

“It’s a wonderful piece of Victorian heritage,” he told Ross and Russel.

“The person who returns it potentially gets $10,000, no questions asked.

“We think its probably someone looking for scrap metal which would be an absolute disgrace if that’s the case.”
